Eid-al-Fitr will be celebrated with much enthusiasm in the country on April 10. During this festival, people indulge in delicious food delicacies. Awadhi Biryani holds a special place and is loved by everyone. It leaves a lasting impression on anyone who tries it. So, if you’re looking for a recipe to impress your guests, then try preparing this delectable biryani at home. 

Ingredients you are going to need:

•    1 kilogram of basmati rice
•    10 grams of green cardamom
•    5 cloves of garlic
•    Salt to taste
•    Biryani base gravy
•    1.5 kilograms of cooked chicken
•    10 grams of nutmeg powder
•    10 grams of sugar
•    5 ml of kewra water
•    10 ml of saffron water
•    200 grams of ghee

Follow these steps

Step 1- Boil 5 litres of water and add salt, cardamom, and garlic cloves to it.

Step 2- Add rice and cook until it is 75 percent done. Strain it and set aside. 

Step 3- Take a pan and add the already prepared gravy along with the biryani base masala. 

Step 4- Add the cooked chicken and rice. 

Step 5- Seal the pan/container with a lid and let it cook on low heat for 25 minutes. 

Step 6- Remove the container from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before opening the seal. 

Step 7- Carefully open the lid and gently mix the layers of chicken and rice.
