Does your kid often throw tantrums for eating the regular Roti-Sabzi? While kids refusing to eat healthy food is normal, you, as a parent, can experiment with some recipes for delicious dishes that are both tasty and nutritious. Veg Frankie Rolls are packed with vegetables and flavours and are always a hit among kids of all ages. Today, let’s learn how you can prepare these mouthwatering rolls for your kid’s lunch boxes.

Ingredients for Frankie Roll

•    2 cups of mixed vegetables (carrot, capsicum, cabbage, onion)
•    Oil or butter
•    1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
•    1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste
•    1 teaspoon each of turmeric, coriander powder
•    1 pinch of garam masala
•    Salt to taste
•    Tomato ketchup
•    4-6 whole wheat tortillas or chapatis

Follow these instructions

Step 1- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and then proceed to add ginger-garlic paste. Fry for about a minute.

Step 2- Add the chopped vegetables to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes and keep stirring occasionally.

Step 3- Add dry spices, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to the vegetables. Mix all the ingredients together.

Step 4- To add the tanginess to the vegetables, pour some tomato ketchup and cook for a minute. If you want, you can also add Schezwan sauce instead to the ketchup.

Step 5- Take another pan and place the tortillas on it. Use a little oil to make them cripe. Alternatively, you can simply use rotis or thin parathas.

Step 6- For the next step, take a plate and place the flat rotis or tortillas on it. Spread the vegetable stuffing generously on one side of the tortilla. You can also add coriander leaves to the stuffing.

Step 7- Tightly roll the tortilla into a cylindrical shape to prevent the filling from spilling out.

Step 8- In a pan, heat some butter. Place the prepared Frankie Rolls on the pan and cook until they turn golden brown.

Step 9- Prepare more rolls the similar way. Once cooked, allow them cool slightly. You can serve them with ketchup or green chutney.
