In her first competitive 200m race of the year, the Assam runner had clocked 23.65 seconds on her way to gold at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland on July 2. After that, she won her second 200m gold at the Kutno Athletics Meet, also in Poland, on July 7 with a time of 23.97 seconds

Dutee Chand said, “I have found someone who is my soulmate. I believe everyone should have the freedom to be with whoever they decide they want to be with. I have always supported the rights of those who want to be in a same-sex relationship"

The 30-year-old athlete, Gomathi Marimuthu, who was initially trailing behind, gradually made her way to the lead and bagged gold in the 800-metre run at the Asian Athletics Championship 2019.
