Mohammad Ibrar is a resident of Sangrampur village, Pratapgarh

Since childhood, he engaged in activities like long jump and running, often doing so without wearing shoes.

A passion for sports

Ibrar used to participate in the village games during Nag Panchami. By succeeding at the district level competitions, he became a state-level player.

Financial challenges

In 2006, Ibrar completed his high school education. But the family faced difficult financial circumstances and his father made it clear that he needed to get a job.

An aircraftman

Ibrar successfully secured the position of an aircraftman in the Air Force.

Winning a gold medal

Ibrar clinched a gold medal at the South Asian Games held in Dhaka and set a national record in the Indian Indoor Athletics Championship held in Iran.

Global championships

Ibrar won a bronze medal at the Asian Indoor Athletics Championship in Iran. He also participated in the World Military Championship in Greece.
