ALERT!! Over 17 Crore PAN Cards May Soon Turn Inoperative
Despite the Income Tax department extending the deadline eight times to link PAN (Permanent Account Number) card with Aadhaar card, Over 17 crore PAN cardholders have not linked the document with Aadhaar card. After the amendment in the Finance Bill, 2019, the income tax department has the authority to make all such PAN cards which are not linked to Aadhaar inoperative.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has proposed the draft amendment to the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements Act, 1954), seeking to introduce a jail term of up to five years and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh for advertisements for drugs, ‘magic remedies’ and other products promoting fair skin, enhancing sexual performance, treating stammering, infertility in women, premature ageing and greying of hair and so on.
