Yashaswini Mahesh alias Muniyamma, known as the lady don of Bengaluru, has been appointed as women's unit chief of the right-wing outfit Sri Rama Sene.

Founder of Sri Rama Sene, Pramod Muthalik appointed her to the post by handing over the Sene flag to Yashaswini.

This move has been criticised by many including right-wing supporters. In a decade, Yashaswini has been charged with murder, extortion, robbery and chain snatching cases at JP Nagar Police Station limits in Bengaluru. It is also said that many people targeted by Yashaswini have not filed a complaint against her as they are scared of her. She is also accused of threatening a woman with acid attack for delay in paying interest.

She is known as the financier (lending money to people at high interest rate), who would make the life of people difficult and the video of her assaulting women has also gone viral.

Reacting to this, Pramod Muthalik is said to have justified his action by saying that Yashaswini was just an accused and was not convicted. He said there were many politicians active despite many criminal charges against them.

Yashaswini is also said to have blamed the cops for adding her name into the list of history sheeters. She said that she will come clean. She was booked as a history sheeter in 2012 in the Basavanagudi police station, Bengaluru.
