New Delhi: Congress damaad Robert Vadra on Sunday hit a new low when he shared the Paraguayan flag instead of the Indian flag while appreciating a large number of voter turnout for the Lok Sabha elections phase 6.

He took to Twitter to say, “Our right our strength !! Everyone must step out n vote ... we need all support, to create a combined future for our loved ones, n for a secular, safe, productive future for our country.”

However, at the end of the tweet, Vadra put the Paraguayan flag instead of the Indian flag.

What is astonishing is that the Paraguayan flag doesn’t look anything close to the Indian flag. The South American country’s flag is of red, white and blue colour.

While the tweet garnered 128 retweets, the post was liked by 868 people at the time of writing the article.

Netizens also had a laugh riot. While one Twitter user wrote, “Doesn't even know what India flag looks like and he is talking about building the future of India,” another person said, “The entire family is Pappu”. Here is how he changed his tweet after facing considerable ridicule

Vadra and his wife were seen casting their votes in Sardar Patel Vidyalaya at Lodhi Estate on Sunday morning. Vadra's faux pas caused a major embarrasment to the Congress, the Gandhi family and especially his wife Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who was recently named the Congress General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East.
