Bengaluru: A Northeast girl working as a beautician and therapist at a salon in Davanagere has filed a complaint against a customer alleging that he misbehaved with her, tried to molest her and then physically abused her as she did not comply with his demand.

A case in this regard has also been booked at the Koramangala Police Station as Esha Pant is the Nodal officer for the North East communities.

The 24-year-old complainant from Mizoram had worked in Bengaluru from 2006 to 2019. She explained the details in the complaint copy and stated that she joined a beauty parlour in Davanagere on April 16, 2019.

"On May 9, 2019 Thursday a customer named Jnanesh came for massage and I attended to him at around 5 pm. He forced me for extra massage holding my hands. I refused to do so as it violated our work ethics. The customer got angry and started to shout at me. I left the room and went to the main area as I could not bear the insult. He followed me and kept shouting. I have friends in the police force, even if you file FIR nobody will help you. You Northeast people have no friends here, do what I asked you to. Then he attacked me and slapped me. When he again tried to attack me, I defended by kicking him. My male colleagues stopped him and my female colleagues took me to another room.  Then, I went to restroom to clean up and Jnanesh left the parlour," she stated.

"But after ten minutes, he returned with three other friends, started searching for me. I was hiding in the bathroom. Since they didn’t find me, they left the room.  Immediately, my employer dropped me to my residence," she wrote.

"Later, I went out with my female colleagues in the dark to buy eatables, Jnanesh and his friends followed us and insulted us in front of the sales boys and girls of the shop," she added

"I was terrified to work in Davanagere and I reached Bangalore fearing my safety in Davanagere," she added.

She filed a complaint at the Koramanagala police station in this regard and the probe is on.
