Bengaluru: #KarnatakaJobsForKannadigas began to trend and flood the social media pages on May 4. This came after several people in Karnataka sought job opportunities in the state.

On May 3, #TamilNaduJobsForTamils was created after several positions in the railways department were allocated to the north Indians in the state.

According to reports, it is said that several social and Kannada activists had decided to trend the hashtag on Saturday at 6 pm, but several tweets began to make its way into the Twitter timeline from the very morning.

Reports further stated that the job opportunities in Karnataka should first be given to the people of the state. Only then must companies take into consideration those from other states.

Several questions were raised on why most of the public banks in the state recruit employees, who do not know the state language and finding it difficult to have a conversation with the bank account holders.

Few other tweets stated that people from neighbouring states get jobs quickly while those living in Karnataka find it challenging to find a job in the state.
