The Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP) is a youth forum that engages in social service work and has its wings spread all over the country. This group is the youth wing of Swetambar Jain Terapanth Society disciples of 11th Acharya of Terapanth, His Holiness Acharya Shri Mahashramanji. As part of this forum, the young members pledge themselves for the service of mankind and humanity. Under its service mission ABTYP runs and manages activities of social causes like Blood Donation Drives, Eye check-up  and Medical check-up camps, De-Addiction Programmes, and giving services on days of national importance while also supporting in times of national grief and natural calamities etc.

Inspired by the idea, 'Donate Blood, Make a difference in someone's life', ABTYP brings to you, one of the most important and among the most looked upon project MBDD - Mega Blood Donation Drive. Moreover, our country is currently in scarcity in about 2 million blood units. This has been further affected by the recent Covid-19 pandemic and the ongoing vaccination. Through its Mega Blood Donation Drive, ABTYP strives to make India blood sufficient. With this aim in mind, their vision is to build a community of volunteers and ambassadors that relentlessly works towards making India blood self-sufficient.

With an aim to encourage people to step forward and donate blood, ABTYP has organised several blood donation camps over the years. So far they have organised 3016+ Blood Donation Camps across India. Plus, they have a nationwide network of 350+ branches and more than 45000 plus associated members. They created a red revolution in the history of humanity by organizing the world’s biggest blood donation drive and collecting the highest number of blood units (100212) in a single day. The efforts of the ABTYP and MBDD team got them featured in the Guinness Book of World Records (2014).

They started this journey in 2012 when they first organized the Mega Blood Donation Drive with Sachin Tendulkar as their brand ambassador and collected 96600 units of life in a single day. In 2014, they made a world record of highest number of blood units collected in one day. In 2016, they organised the 'longest Blood Donation Drive' in Asia and India with its non-stop blood donation camps for 365 days. Presently also they are organising several blood camps across the length and breadth of the country. The MBDD project has been appreciated and supported by many celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, Saina Nehwal, South Indian Superstar Rajnikanth, and many more.

During the challenging period of pandemic, when there were restrictions on travel and movement, adhering to the government guidelines and Covid lockdown, ABTYP members organized more than 55000 blood donations throughout the country. On learning that plasma can save people from Covid, ABTYP organized more than 3000 plasma donations throughout the country.

For its commendable achievements and dedicated services to mankind, MBDD has received many certificates and awards. These include- Guinness Book of World Records, Asia books of records, India books of records, Global Pacific records, Asia Pacific records and so on.
