Nizamabad: Ten-year-old Syed Riyaz and five-year-old Mohammed Burhanuddin were found dead inside their neighbour’s car in Nizamabad, Telangana. The helpless parents were meanwhile looking for the missing boys all around the neighbourhood.

The police said that the owner of the car had left the car open and the boys must have decided to hop in and play inside the car. But locked themselves inside and were unable to open the doors.

The parents, however realised that the children were missing and looked everywhere for them in the neighbourhood. It was only much later that the car owner opened the door of the car and found the bodies of the two children inside.

Later the parents of the deceased children informed the police who shifted the bodies to the Government General Hospital for autopsy. A case of suspicious death has been registered.

Just a month ago, a two-year-old child had died of suffocation after he unintentionally locked himself inside his father’s car in Hyderabad. Sajid had locked himself inside with the car keys and later fell unconscious in the car. He died while he was being taken to the hospital.

A similar incident took place in May where a seven-year-old boy had died of suffocation inside a car in Visakhapatnam.

The child had entered the car, which was not locked, wanting to play with some toys that he saw inside the vehicle. The car locked automatically after which the child died due to suffocation.
