Aam Panna is a popular summer drink liked by many. However, have you ever tried the refreshing Imli Panna? You can prepare this sweet and sour summer drink with tamarind in no time. This drink will keep your body hydrated throughout the day. Follow this simple and easy recipe for preparing this drink at home. 

Ingredients you need:

•    100 grams of tamarind
•    1 cup of jaggery
•    1 teaspoon of roasted cumin powder
•    ½ teaspoon of black salt
•    ½ teaspoon of plain salt
•    ½ teaspoon of black pepper 
•    Fresh mint leaves
•    4 cups of water

Follow these instructions:

Step 1- Soak the tamarind in 2 cups of water for approximately 30 minutes to soften. 

Step 2- Once the tamarind softens, mash it using your hands. Extract the pulp. 

Step 3- Strain the pulp through a sieve to remove any seeds and fibres. Store the pulp in a bowl. 

Step 4- Add jaggery and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Heat the mixture on medium heat until the jaggery dissolves. 

Step 5- Turn off the heat and strain the jaggery syrup. 

Step 6- Take a large bowl and mix together tamarind pulp with the prepared syrup. 

Step 7- Then, add roasted cumin powder, black salt, plain salt, and black pepper. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

Step 8- Add 2 cups of water to the mixture. Before serving, keep it in the refrigerator for an hour. Alternatively, you can simply add cold water to the mixture when diluting. 

Step 9- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and add ice cubes.
