Zeenat Aman started her career in the entertainment industry as a model. She was the first runner up in the Miss India beauty pageant in the year 1970. She also won the titles like Miss Pacific Asia, and Miss Photogenic. 

In the year 1971, she made her acting debut with the Bollywood film ‘Halchal.’ The same year, she did a film called ‘Hungama.’ Both the films did not do well at the box office, and Zeenat Aman was disappointed with the failure of her first two films.

She played the role of ‘Rupa’ opposite Shashi Kapoor in the 1978 film ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram.’ The film was a massive hit at the box office.

Zeenat Aman was married to Sanjay Khan from 1978-1979. The couple got divorced within a year because of their incompatibility.  

She tied the knot with Mazhar Khan in the year 1985. Her husband passed away in the year 1998.
