Kriti’s education

Kriti Sanon was born and raised in New Delhi. Her father, Rahul Sanon, works as a Chartered Accountant, and her mother Geeta Sanon is a Professor of Physics at the renowned Delhi University. Kriti completed her schooling at DPS. After that, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology.

Chasing dreams

Despite being a bright student in academics, Kriti harboured a dream of pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. She ventured into modelling to kickstart her acting career. In the year 2014, she appeared in a Telugu film opposite Mahesh Babu, which marked her debut in the entertainment world.

The same year, Kriti Sanon made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Heropanti.’ Her onscreen chemistry with actor Tiger Shroff received immense love from fans. The audiences thoroughly enjoyed Kriti’s performance in the film.

The 2021 film ‘Mimi’ marked a significant turning point in Kriti’s acting career. She played the role of a surrogate mother. The film delved into the topics that don’t get discussed openly in the society. The sensitive approach to these subjects earned the movie critical acclaim. Kriti received both the Filmfare Award and National Award for Best Actress for her outstanding performance in the film.

Media reports suggest that Kriti Sanon makes around Rs 8 crore in a year. She earns a fee of Rs 5 to 6 crore per film. She has been the ambassador of various brands including Fossil, Joy, Cadbury Fuse, Parachute Advanced, Boro Plus, Bata, Magicbricks, Whirlpool, Vivel, Amul Ice Cream, Titan, Samsung Hero, and many others. 

Film production house

Kriti Sanon is not only an accomplished actress but also a successful businesswoman. She owns a direct-to-consumer skincare brand called Hyphen. Moreover, she also owns the fashion label Ms Taken and serves as a lead investor in a tech startup named Tring. Remarkably, Kriti Sanon also owns a production house named Blue Butterfly Films, in collaboration with her sister Nupur Sanon.
