Udit Narayan is an Indian playback singer. He was born on 1 December 1955 in Saptari, Nepal. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He completed his schooling from Shri Public Bindeshwari Middle School, Rajbiraj, Nepal, and Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal. 

His father, Hare Krishna Jha was a farmer. His mother, Bhuvneshwari Devi was a singer. 

He is married to Deepa Narayan Jha. They have a son, Aditya Narayan, who is a singer and actor.

Udit Narayan started his career as an artist in the show ‘Radio Nepal.’

Udit Narayan had his first breakthrough when he sang his first song ‘Mil Gaya Mil Gaya,’ composed by Rajesh Roshan for the film ‘Unees Bees’ in the year 1980. Notably, Udit got his first major opportunity to sing along with the legendary singer, Mohammed Rafi. 

He has also acted in Nepali films like ‘Kusum Rumal’ and ‘Pirti.’

He has sung more than 15,000 songs in 32 languages like Hindi, Kannada, Nepali, Urdu, Bhojpuri, Garhwali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Oriya, Assamese, Maithili, Bengali, etc.
