Sohail Khan is a Bollywood actor, producer and director. He was born on 20 December 1969 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He completed his schooling from St Stanislaus High School. 

His father, Salim Khan is a famous screenwriter. His mother is Salma Khan. He is youngest among Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan. His sisters, Alvira Khan and Arpita Khan are younger than him. 

Sohail was married to Seema Sajdeh. The couple took a divorce in the year 2022. They have two sons, Nirvan Khan and Yohan Khan.

Interesting facts about Sohail Khan

Sohail is the youngest son of famous screenwriter Salim Khan and Salma Khan aka Sushila Charak. 

In his childhood, Sohail wanted to become a pilot. But due to his poor eyesight, he could not clear the tests. 

In the year 1997, he started his Bollywood film career as a director of the film ‘Auzaar’. His brother, Salman Khan was the lead actor of the film. 

Sohail’s debut as a producer

His 1998 debut film as a producer ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya’ starring Salman Khan and Kajol was a hit at the box-office. Sohail Khan was also the writer of the film.

Sohail’s debut as an actor

In the year 2002, Sohail Khan made his debut as an actor with the film ‘Maine Dil Tujhko Diya’. His co-actors were Sanjay Dutt, Sameera Reddy and Kabir Bedi. Interestingly, Sohail was also the writer, director and producer of the film.

After directing the film ‘Maine Dil Tujhko Diya’, he took a break of 12 years and made a comeback with the film ‘Jai Ho’. The film was not as big a hit as was anticipated. 

In the year 2007, he was awarded the International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Performance for the film ‘Partner’.

Judging comedy shows

From 2011 to 2013, he was seen as a judge on Sony TV's comedy programme ‘Comedy Circus’. His co-judge was Archana Pooran Singh. 

Sohail is considered to be the most mischievous and stubborn among the Khan brothers.

He is the owner of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) team ‘Mumbai Heroes’.

After a 7-year break from acting, he was seen in the 2017 film ‘Tubelight’ along with Salman Khan. 

Sohail’s marriage

Sohail married Seema Sajdeh in the year 1998. 

His ex-wife Seema is the niece of the actor, Chunky Pandey.

The couple filed for a divorce in 2022 due to incompatibility issues.
