Shubhangi Atre is a television actress and model. She was born on 11 April 1981 in Pachmadhi, Madhya Pradesh. She completed her schooling from Bal Niketan Uchh Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Indore. She pursued her graduation from Holkar Vigyan University and MBA from Devi Ahilya University. 

Her friends call her ‘Buttu’.

Shubhangi's first show

She was first seen in the show Kasauti Zindagi Ki, a very popular television show from 2006. 

Her hobbies include dancing, cooking, travelling, listening to old Hindi songs, and watching films.

She loves travelling to mountainous areas and loves Punjabi cuisine. 

Her favourite song is ‘Pal Pal Dil ke Pas’ by the legend Kishore Kumar.

Marriage

Shubhangi is married to Piyush Pure and has a daughter ‘Ashi’.

She earns around Rs 40,000 per episode of a show. 

In the year 2003, Shubhangi Atre won the title of Miss Madhya Pradesh. 

She is a trained Kathak and Odissi dancer.

Growing up, she always dreamt of becoming an actress. She never considered any other career paths. 

The success of ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai’

She replaced Shilpa Shinde in the show ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai’. Her versatility to adapt to the character of ‘Angoori Bhabhi’ was greatly appreciated by the audience.

Previously, she had worked in a show called ‘Chidiyaghar’.

Normally, character replacements in shows don’t work and the audience loses interest. But Shubhangi’s acting skills garnered more viewership. She was the only one to be selected in the audition of 80 participants.
