Shakti Kapoor is an Indian actor. He was born on 3 September 1958 in Delhi. He did his schooling from Holy Child School, Delhi, Frank Anthony Public School, Delhi, Salwan Public School, Delhi. He earned a graduate degree in Economics from Kirorimal College, Delhi. 

His father’s name was Sikandar Lal Kapoor, and his mother’s name was Sushila Kapoor. He has three siblings, Parveen, Rammi Kapoor, and Renu Kapoor. 

He is married to Shivangi Kolhapure. They are parents to a daughter, Shraddha Kapoor, and son, Siddhant Kapoor.
