Remo D'Souza is an Indian choreographer, actor, director and producer. He was born on 2 April 1972 in Bangalore. His zodiac sign is Pisces. He grew up in Jamnagar, Gujarat. His father, Gopi Nair is a retired officer from Indian Air Force. His mother, Madhviyamma is a homemaker. He has a brother, Ganesh Gopi, and three sisters.

Interesting facts about Remo D’Souza

After completing his schooling in Gujarat, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in the field of dance. 

Remo never received any professional dance training from any institute. He was inspired by Michael Jackson and learned how to dance just by watching him on television.

Remo D’Souza started giving dance classes called ‘Super Brats’ on Churni Road. In the beginning, he only had four students. 

He even spent his nights in Bandra Station during his struggling days. 

Remo’s debut

Remo made his debut as a choreographer with the 1995 film ‘Bollywood Dreams.’

He had his first breakthrough in the year 1995 when he worked as an assistant choreographer with Ahmed Khan for the Bollywood film ‘Rangeela.’

Remo’s choreography of Sony Nigam’s album ‘Deewana’ was widely liked. Post the success of the album, his name was recommended for the song ‘Ishq Samundar’ from the film ‘Kaante.’

He is close friends with Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapur.

Remo’s dance reality shows

Remo has served as a judge on various dance reality shows like, Dance India dance, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Dance Champions, DID: Super Moms, and Dance Plus.

In the year 2011, Remo made his directorial debut with the film ‘FALTU.’
