Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an Indian actor. He was born on 19 May 1974 in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Taurus. He completed his schooling from BSS Inter College, Budhana, Muzaffarnagar. He earned a degree in Chemistry from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. Nawazuddin also attended National School of Drama, Delhi. 

His father Late Nawabuddin Siddiqui was a farmer. His mother, Mehrunnisa is a homemaker. He has eight siblings.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the eldest among his eight siblings. 

After completing, his graduation, Nawazuddin worked as a Chemist in Vadodara. 

Nawaz’s family was not financially well-off. To pursue his dreams, he moved to Delhi and joined a theatre group. Since he had no money, he worked as a watchman to earn a living. 

After passing out from National School of Drama, Nawaz moved to Mumbai to pursue his acting career.

In the year 1999, Nawaz appeared in a minor role in Aamir Khan’s film ‘Sarfarosh.’

For years, Nawaz could only earn minor roles and could not make it big until the release of Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Black Friday.’

He auditioned for roles in television programmes but did not succeed.

In the year 2007, Nawazuddin played his first leading role as a wedding singer in Prashant Bhargava’s feature film ‘Patang.’

He was seen in a cameo role in the song ‘Emotional Atyachar’ in the 2009 film ‘Dev D.’

Nawazuddin gained recognition after playing the role of a journalist in the 2010 film ‘Peepli Live.’

Nawazuddin’s role as ‘Faizal Khan’ in Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ established him as a talented actor in the entertainment industry.
