Kirron Kher is an Indian actress and politician. She was born on 14 June 1952 in Punjab. Her sun sign is Gemini. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English literature from Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Her father, Thakur Singh Sandhu was an officer in Indian army. Her mother, Diljeet Kaur was a homemaker. She has a brother, Amardeep Singh, who is an artist. 

She is married to Anupam Kher. They are parents to a son named Sikander Kher.

In 2014, Kirron Kher contested in the Lok Sabha elections and became the MP from Chandigarh’s constituency.

She was elected the MP of Chandigarh for the second time in the year 2019. 

On 1 April 2021, a BJP leader revealed that Kirron Kher was suffering from a disease called multiple myeloma, which is a type of blood cancer.
