Karishma Tanna is an actress, model and an anchor. She was born on 21 December 1983 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She earned a graduate degree from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. 

Her father passed away in the year 2012. Her mother’s name is Jasmine Tanna. She has a brother, Nonen, and a younger sister, Drashma Kadam.

Karishma is married to Varun Bangera; he is a businessman.

Karishma’s hobbies are reading, travelling, exercising, and watching films.

Karishma’s debut role

 Karishma Tanna was interested in acting since childhood. She began her acting career at the age of 17 with the superhit TV show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.

After doing TV for a few years, she tried her luck in Bollywood. In the year 2005, her Bollywood journey started with the film 'Dosti: Friends Forever', in which stars like Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Lara Dutta, Juhi Chawla were seen. She played the role of Bobby Deol's sister in the film.

Her first lead role was in a Kannada film ‘I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona’ (2011) opposite Prem Kumar.

Her first few films were unsuccessful. She went back to the television industry and worked in Sony TV's comedy program 'Comedy Circus'.

Karishma’s marriage

In 2014, she participated in the TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ and dated another contestant, Upen Patel.

In the year 2015, Karishma was seen in the dance reality show 'Nach Baliye 7'. She was there as a contestant with Upen Patel and proposed him for marriage. However, they did not marry because of some differences.

Karishma tied the knot with businessman Varun Bangera in 2022.

She considers Kangana Ranaut and Victoria Beckham as her role models.

In 2018, she played the role of ‘Madhuri Dixit’ in the Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

In 2020, she participated as a contestant in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and was declared as the season 10’s winner.

In 2016, she was awarded with the Gold Award’s ‘Most Fit Actress’.
