Dharmesh Yelande is a dancer, choreographer and an actor. He was born on 31 October 1983 in Vadodara, Gujarat. His sun sign is Scorpio. He belonged to a lower middle-class family. His father used to own a tea-stall. But with his successful career, he now lives a comfortable, luxurious life. 

Dharmesh’s fans call him D-sir or Dharmesh sir. 

Participating as a contestant in ‘Dance India Dance’

Dharmesh was first seen on a dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance’ which was aired in 2009. He did not win the show but received immense love from the judges and the audience. 

As a dancer, he specializes in Hip-Hop and Locking dance forms. However, he is a versatile performer and can adapt to any dance style. 

Prabhu Deva and Remo D’Souza are his role models. 

His first project as a choreographer was the movie ‘Tees Maar Khan’. It was a turning point in his life. 

He launched his dance academy in his hometown under the name ‘D-Virus’.

Dharmesh's debut film ‘ABCD: AnyBody Can Dance’

Dharmesh has worked with his ideals Remo D’Souza and Prabhu Deva in several projects. He played the role of one of the protagonists in Remo’s ‘ABCD: AnyBody Can Dance’; it was released in 2012. Since then, three more instalments have been released and his acting skills were admired in all of them. 

His other movies include ‘Nawabzaade’ and ‘Banjo’.

Puneet Pathak, Shakti Mohan, Raghav Juyal are his close friends. 

Judging dance reality shows

He has hosted several dance reality shows and has judged shows like ‘Dance Plus’ along with Shakti Mohan and Puneet Pathak. 

His is unmarried and has no plans of marriage in near future.
