In the year 1991, he won the Indian Dance Competition as a member of the Akbar Sami’s dance group. This inspired him to launch his own dance academy named ‘Awesome.’

Arshad Warsi met Maria Goretti at the Malhar festival. Maria was a participant in the event, and Arshad Warsi was a judge. He offered her to work with him for his dance academy. The couple got married in the year 1999.
