An Initiative By Karnataka And Sikkim Police To Ensure Women Safety
In a bid to prevent crime against women the Karnataka police have launched a free-ride scheme under which any woman who is alone and unable to find a ride home will be dropped home by a police vehicle at zero cost. The free-of-cost service will be available from 10 pm to 6 am on all days. To ensure women safety Karnataka police have launched a free night pick-and-drop facility for women in the city. Even Sikkim Police has launched a free ride scheme under which any woman is unable to find transport services at night will be dropped home in a Police vehicle free of cost
