In a profound loss to the world of international cinema, actor Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 53. The actor had been battling a neuro endocrine tumour since 2018 and had been admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital for a colon infection on Tuesday. Grief-stricken messages and condolences poured in across social media, as the world grapples to come to terms with his sad demise. Irrfan Khan, whose arresting eyes narrated a sea of stories, was possibly the finest actor of his generation. His passion for the craft of acting and his love for unusual characters won him not just critical acclaim, but also made him a popular brand ambassador on the global stage of television and cinema.
