Was our Constitution secular? A history lesson for the opposition
The opposition harped on the word secular as they referred to the Constitution while speaking on issues such as the NRC and the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill. However, it does look like they don’t understand the difference between the true meaning of being secular and pseudo-secular.

Lok Sabha on 10th December passed the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019. The Bill seeks to grant Indian Citizenship to persons belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities who have migrated to India after facing persecution on grounds of religion in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, if they fulfill conditions for grant of citizenship.
