National Mathematics Day: India fondly remembers the iconic Srinivasa Ramanujan on 131st birth anniversary

New Delhi: As India celebrates National Mathematics Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan, tribute pours in on social media for the great mathematician.

Ramanujan is remembered for his contributions to mathematical analysis, infinite series, continued fractions and number theory. He also discovered his own theorems and compiled as many as 3900 results independently.
