Bengaluru: We have seen how sons and daughters treat their parents in films like Baghban.

Cut to real.

Vincent Christin, an elderly man, reportedly abandoned by his son two days ago, suffered a heart attack. The pained 76-year-old father died yearning for his family.

This old man was dropped off at Dharwad, Karnataka. The son left him on the road and sped away in his car. Immediately, locals there informed the police about it, and got him admitted him to a local hospital as Christin was not in good health. The doctors of the hospital said that he was suffering from Alzheimer's.

However, Christin did remember basic details like his name, place and family. He had said that he was a resident of Matthikere in Bengaluru and that he was a Christian. He is even said to have given some details about the family, but the cops were not able to locate the house exactly.

With news going viral, will the son, who had abandoned him, come to get Christin's mortal remains at least for conducting the final rites?
