Success doesn't always require a degree; all it takes courage and hard work. Mohammad Rizwan from Rae Bareli is a perfect example of this, having studied only up to the eighth grade. Despite this, his intelligence and determination helped him build a thriving business. While many search for jobs, Rizwan recognised his own skills and ventured into poultry farming. Today, he earns up to Rs 6 lakh a month. Let’s explore his inspiring success story.

Background

Born in Garhi village of Shivgarh police station area in Rae Bareli district, Mohammad Rizwan grew up in financial hardship. His father earned a living as a daily wage labourer, and the family’s financial situation was so dire that Rizwan could only complete his studies up to class 8. Witnessing the struggles at home, he was forced to leave school and look for work. However, rather than working for others, he chose to carve his own path. With this determination, he reached out to his friend Navsad, who was already involved in poultry farming, seeking guidance to start his own venture.

Starting the business

Rizwan gathered all the necessary information about poultry farming from his friend Navsad. With limited funds, he took a bank loan and started his poultry farm in 2017. He initially set up the farm on 6,000 square feet of land, gradually repaying the loan. His first investment of three to four lakh rupees went into setting up the farm and understanding the intricacies of the business. Over time, Rizwan learned to tackle both small and large challenges in the business. Today, traders visit his farm directly to buy chickens, saving him transportation costs and increasing his profits.

Rizwan's poultry farm has now evolved into a thriving business. He earns in multiple ways, primarily by raising broiler chickens (bred for meat) and selling them to traders. Each batch produces thousands of chickens, generating substantial income. He shares that he earns around Rs 5 to 6 lakh monthly, with his total annual turnover reaching approximately Rs 60-70 lakh.
