Pushpalata's Background

Pushpalata hails from Khushpura village in Rewari district, Haryana. She completed her primary education in her village, followed by a BSc and an MBA. She got married in 2011 and settled in Manesar, Haryana. Before marriage, she worked in the private sector for two years and later as an Assistant Manager at the State Bank of Hyderabad. Four years after her marriage, after becoming a mother, she began preparing for the civil service examination.

Overcoming Challenges

Balancing work, household chores, childcare, and studies was challenging. She eventually resigned from her job to focus entirely on her studies. With unwavering support from her husband and family, she woke up at 4 am every day and studied for hours. While Pushpalata prepared for the UPSC exam, her husband took care of their child. He encouraged and supported her in pursuing her dreams. Pushpalata herself has acknowledged the invaluable support she received from her husband and in-laws.

Achieving the Dream

Pushpalata's hard work paid off in her third attempt. She didn't clear the Mains in her first two attempts. However, in her third attempt, she secured an All India Rank of 80. Pushpalata's story proves that with dedication and perseverance, one can achieve success in any examination. She faced challenges with courage and never gave up on her dreams, working tirelessly to achieve her goal.
