Through stock investments, Anupam Mittal achieved the millionaire status by the age of 20. Subsequently, he founded Shaadi.com which is counted among the largest matrimony sites in the country. As one of the first matrimony sites in India, Anupam was able to take the company to the heights of success.

Background

Anupam Mittal was born on 23 December 1971 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Despite hailing from a business background, his family prioritized his education during his upbringing. He pursued an MBA at Boston University in the United States. Initially, he wished to pursue the American dream while establishing a business. However, in the year 1996, he quit his USA-based job and returned to India. Subsequently, he launched his first company People Group.

The success of matrimony site

During the time when his mother wanted him to get married, the concept of online matchmaking for eligible singles stuck in his mind. He desired to create a platform where people could discover their ideal life partners. The idea culminated into the launch of Sagaai.com which eventually turned into Shaadi.com.

Presently, Anupam Mittal’s total assets amount to Rs 185 crore. His wife, Aanchal Kumar works in the entertainment industry. The couple also has a daughter named Alyssa.
