Kolkata: Arpan Banerjee is a resident of Karimnagar, West Bengal. For the last two decades, he has dedicated his life to the underprivileged people and assists then in orphanages and elderly care homes. Arpan, along with his friends, provides clothing, sweets and other essential items using his own savings. He believes that giving a smile to a person in need is the greatest joy in life. He is committed to this meaningful work and finds genuine satisfaction in it. 

Life in an ashram

Arpan Banerjee spent almost 5 years of his life in an ashram as a young child. He learned many life lessons there and drew inspiration to assist people in orphanages and old age homes. He was young and had limited financial means to help others. He faced difficulties in supporting others, but he never stopped making efforts to help people in their unfortunate circumstances. 

Donations

Arpan Banerjee shares that he manages all the expenses from the salary that he earns. Initially, he began working as a property agent to fund his efforts. Having dedicated two decades to this cause, Arpan actively visits 6 to 7 orphanages and 5 old age homes in West Bengal. He provides essential items such as food, clothing, and blankets to those in need. He also helps poor people living on the footpaths. Arpan also receives support from friends who share his commitment to making a positive impact. 

Opening an old age home

Arpan Banerjee shares that there are plans to open an old age home. His aim is to provide shelters to poor people. He wishes to offer care and accommodation for people who live on the streets, ensuring they receive meals every day. He believes that everyone desires to have a place that they can call home. His aim is to serve that purpose.
