In UPPSC-J 2022 exams, Shishir Yadav topped the exams with an incredible second rank. Surprisingly, this was his very first attempt and he accomplished his dreams with flying colours. Shishir was confident about his preparation when he made it through all the rounds successfully. Shishir shares that he grew up in a positive environment at home where his parents always encouraged him to perform better.

Shishir’s background

Shishir Yadav completed his schooling from Maharishi Vidya Mandir with exceptional marks. He secured 7.2 CGPA in grade 10 and 76 percent marks in grade 12. In school he was a science student but for his higher studies, he chose to pursue law. In the year 2020, he received his BA LLB degree from Allahabad University and then pursued an LLM. Shishir shares that from the very beginning, he wanted to pursue a career in law.

The beginning of the journey

Shishir’s father, Kripashankar Yadav, and mother, Shakuntala Yadav, are both lawyers. He grew up in a house where the shelves were packed with law-related books. This environment helped him nurture a dream of becoming a judge in the future. He shares that the professors at his university were encouraging and often provided valuable insights to him. He received proper guidance and his desire to become a judge became stronger.

Braving through disappointments

After completing his schooling, Shishir had prepared for the competitive CLAT exams. He could not pass the exam and felt disappointed. Later, after graduation, his friends took up jobs while he was still continuing with his education. This feeling when all your friends are busy with their new jobs while you still remain at home studying, and trying to make your dreams come true, often becomes discouraging. However, he received immense support from his family and friends. No body pressurized him for getting a job and allowed him to take his time to grow.

Shishir started his preparation during his graduation. He joined coaching classes and devoted all his time to studies. He received support and guidance from the friends he made there. He shares that he could clear the phase 1 of the exam because of his friend circle.
