Born on December 21, 1987, in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Navjot Simi showed signs of ambition from childhood. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Baba Jaswant Singh Dental Hospital and Research Institute, Ludhiana.

While most people are content after becoming a successful dentist, Navjot's thinking was different. She had a desire to serve the country, which inspired her to walk the difficult path of UPSC.

To realize her dreams, Navjot worked day and night. She prepared for the UPSC exam using self-study and online resources. Her dedication and hard work paid off in 2017, when she secured 735th rank in her first attempt and became an IPS officer.

Navjot Simi trained at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, where she prepared herself to become a capable officer. Her first posting was as DSP in Bihar, where she worked to maintain law and order and bring positive change in the society.

Navjot Simi is not only an IPS officer but also quite popular on social media. She has over 1 million followers on Instagram, where she shares her inspiring journey, motivational posts, and policing-related updates. Her beauty, intelligence, and hard work have made her an inspiration to the youth. Navjot Simi's personal life is as inspiring as her success. She married IAS officer Tushar Singla, who passed the UPSC exam in 2015 and secured 86th rank. Currently, he is the District Magistrate (DM) of Banka district in Bihar.

Together, the couple is working to strengthen administration and law and order. Both are committed to bringing about change in their respective fields, which reflects their passion for bringing positive change in the society.

Currently, Navjot Simi is working as Superintendent of Police (Weaker Section and Cell) in Bihar.
