While in the world of technology, gender diversity remains a challenge, Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs (DTDL) is making massive strides towards addressing this gap. At the forefront of its efforts lies We Rise, a tailored program that helps women re-enter the workforce after career breaks. Launched in 2024 the initiative has seen significant success.
Through this initiative DTDL has hired 9women across roles, providing them a structured pathway to return to work with ease. The company will offer these candidates tailored training sessions, mentorship, and an opportunity to be part of a community in which they can connect with like-minded individuals and share experiences and learn along the way.
We Rise is only part of DTDL's overall commitment to women in technology and it has successfully implemented inclusive policies such as extended maternity leave, childcare support and adoption benefits. DTDL was also the brand sponsor Chhalaang 3.0 - A women only hackathon in 2024 which provided a platform and opportunity for women to showcase their skills and network with professionals.
