Cuddalore: A woman was arrested in Tamil Nadu for printing fake notes in the denominations of Rs 2,000, Rs 500 and Rs 200. The woman, Bharanikumari confessed to the crime and said that she learnt how to print notes from YouTube.
Bharanikumari from Cuddalore decided to make counterfeit notes to help her family out of debt. She bought a printer and with the help of YouTube tutorials learnt how to make counterfeit notes.
Police have now seized the printer and all the materials used in making the notes. Thirty three pieces of Rs 2,000 notes were also seized.
The matter came to light when Bharanikumari paid a fruit vendor Rs 2,000. The fruit vendor got suspicious seeing the note and informed her husband. The couple then rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint against Bharanikumari.
