Bengaluru: Opposing the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill 2019, the doctors and students who are part of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) across the country took to protest on Wednesday (July 31).

There are only a few doctors available in Mallya Hospital on Vittal Mallya Road in Bengaluru. They are attending only to emergency cases. Whereas in Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospital in Banashankari, doctors expected a huge turnout of patients as most private hospitals are protesting and there is unavailability of doctors. They are ensuring that the patients do not face any inconvenience due to the protest.

Meanwhile, junior doctors in Warangal in Telangana protested raising the slogan, “We want justice”.
