Thiruvananthapuram: Konchiravila native Ananthu Gireesh was killed by a gang on Wednesday. A four-member bike-borne gang kidnapped 21-year-old Ananthu on Tuesday from Karamana, Kerala. On Wednesday morning, his body was found at Kaimanom. According to the preliminary autopsy report Ananthu died of excessive bleeding after he suffered an injury to his skull. Several scars were found on Ananthu's body.
Kerala Police arrested 11 persons, who allegedly kidnapped and tortured Gireesh to death. It is reported that a fight broke out between Gireesh’s friends and another group at Konchiravila temple. The fight escalated and as subsequent turn of events would have it, Gireesh was kidnapped and was found murdered. A special team has been appointed to investigate the matter.
