Forbes recently released the list of the world’s most powerful women for 2023. The list features four accomplished Indian women. Nirmala Sitharaman is India’s Finance Minister. She secured the 32^nd rank in the Forbes list. Previously, she was ranked 36^th in the same list.

Five-time Grand Slam winner Maria Sharapova, one of the world's most recognisable and highest-paid sportswomen, on February 26, announced her retirement at the age of 32. "Tennis - I'm saying goodbye," Sharapova said in an article for Vogue and Vanity Fair magazines.
