Tamil Nadu woman finds pin in tablet given at Erwadi government hospital
A woman suffering from diarrhea, headache and vomiting was given Ciprofloxacin tablets by the government hospital in Erwadi. She was shocked to see a piece of pin inside the tablet when she broke it into halfRamanathapuram: A Tamil Nadu woman was shocked to find a pin inside a tablet, which was given to her at the government hospital in Erwadi. Sakthi from Tamil Nadu’s Eranthurai village was suffering from diarrhea, headache and vomiting. She went to the government hospital. She was given a strip of Ciprofloxacin tablets in the hospital. She broke the tablet into two as she had throat ache and it was difficult to gulp the tablet as a whole. But to her shock, she found a piece of pin inside the tablet. Scared to take any risk, she broke another tablet into four pieces before consuming it. Reports claimed that Deputy Director (Public health) Dr B Kumaragurubaran has collected the tablet with pin and the strip. He is said to have sent a report to the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, which supplied drugs to various government hospitals.
