Indefinite Fast  

 Telangana BJP president Laxman was shifted to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences by police, hours after he began an indefinite fast outside the state BJP headquarters on April 29. He continued his fast in the hospital.

Almost 80 successful SSC candidates have fallen ill while on hunger strike, asking for jobs promised to them. Pregnant protesters have reportedly suffered miscarriages. But while mediapersons celebrated pre-Holi bash at the venue of the protest, the Kolkata Press Club, police have threatened the young protesters with forcible eviction.

Chanting ' swamiye saranam Ayyappa ' matra, Nair set himself ablaze after pouring petrol over his body and tried to run to the makeshift tent where senior BJP leader CK Padmanabhan has been staging indefinite fast.
 

The BJP called for a hartal in the states’ capital from 6am to 6pm to protest the actions of Kerala police over the Sabarimala row. The protestors demand was that the government mediate to end the indefinite fast by the BJP leader AN Radhakrishnan in front of the secretariat.
