A Good Samaritan came to voters help in Mandya as he camped outside Chamundi Layout and assisted those who found their names missing in the electoral list as Karnataka voted in Lok Sabha election on Thursday

    Kolar: Day before election, poll station set on fire (In Pics)

    Kolar: Just hours before first phase of polling in Karnataka at 7 AM on April 18, a polling station in Kolar, Karnataka, has been set on fire. Miscreants have set poll booth 94 at Locharupalli in Srinivaspura Taluk in Kolar on fire. The window panes are broken and the properties have been damaged. Srinivaspur police have visited the poll booth. The election officers are said to be arranging for an alternate room to hold elections tomorrow.

    Karnataka chief electoral officer Sanjiv Kumar held a presser on Wednesday evening, a day ahead of the first phase of polling in the state.
