Started as a small cafe in Indore in 2016 by two graduates, Chai Sutta Bar is now a Rs. 150 crore chain with 550 outlets in 300+ cities in India, UAE, Nepal, and Oman. 

Parag Agrawal earned a BTech degree from the prestigious IIT Bombay in 2005 and then pursued a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University. He assumed the role of Twitter’s CEO in 2021 and had to leave the company after Elon Musk’s acquisition of the platform in 2022. Let’s find out what he is doing these days.

Rahul Singh, hailing from Chhattisgarh, received his education from top institutions like NIT. He secured a comfortable job in America and gained significant experience working in various companies. However, an incident prompted him to return to his homeland. Upon his return, he ventured into entrepreneurship and today, his company boasts a turnover of Rs 600 crore.

Rekha Devi, a homemaker from Gopalganj, Bihar, wished to utilize her free time when her kids left home to pursue their goals. She began the cultivation of mushrooms in an unused room at home. Over time, her venture became profitable, and today she earns lakhs of rupees with her endeavours.

Ashwin Nariya has been engaged with organic farming for the past 20 years. He educates other farmers about his farming methods that involves the use of cow urine, cow dung, cow milk, and turmeric in the fields. This approach has proved beneficial as many farmers have been able to increase their production at reduced costs.

Stand-Up India is a government scheme that offers financial support to people from SC/ST community and women entrepreneurs who are above the age of 18. The purpose of this initiative is to facilitate bank loans to at least one SC/ST borrower and at least one woman borrower per branch to set up Greenfield projects.

Raimati Ghiuria, a young tribal woman hailing from Odisha, is being recognized as the ‘Queen of Millets’ due to her contributions to preserving 30 varieties of rare millets. She also educates people on various aspects of millet cultivation, including techniques for growth, enhancing quality, and preservations.

After failing in his first startup, Sachin Bainsala launched another startup called ‘Hamara Café’ to assist people in filling out forms. The project addresses the technical knowledge gap and other document-related challenges.

Dungar Singh Sodha ventured into entrepreneurship to find a solution to the electricity problems in his village and successfully implemented his windmill model. This portable windmill, easily transportable to fields or farmhouses, is just of the right size.

Aarin Ratnesh Sorathiya launched ‘Chaiwale Ki Chaipatti’ in the year 2016 with a single product, and today the product line has expanded to include 50-60 varieties. Aarin’s company has a range of flavoured tea and coffee which not only boosts the sales but also provides customers with interesting choices.  

Two sisters from Lucknow, Nazish and Insha introduced Kolhapuri sandals to the online markets. On their brother’s suggestion, they ventured into entrepreneurship. Today, Nazish and Insha receive orders from overseas, including places like Dubai, New York, and Italy.

Rajan Singh is an IIT Kanpur alumnus, who cleared UPSC exams and worked as an IPS officer in Kerala for eight years. After a few years of service, he resigned from the post and pursued MBA. Today, he is a successful entrepreneur who runs his own e-learning platforms.

During the pandemic, Heramb Dixit lost his job as a Chartered Accountant and returned back to his village. The future seemed uncertain, so he decided to start his own business of milk production. Heramb has seven buffaloes and ten cows. He produces more than 100 litres of milk every day from his animals. Today, he makes lakhs of rupees in a month.
