The District Administration of Gonda has launched a new and unique campaign idea to support the livelihoods of those belonging to underprivileged sections of society. Under the leadership of DM Neha Sharma, the campaign ‘Har Ghar Neki Ki Deewar’ has been launched to donate reusable items to the people in need.

Nityanand Sharma’s campaign can literally be heard by everyone. In his unique campaign idea, he blows conch shells with his supporters to attract the attention of BMC officials for the reconstruction of the potholes. So far, he has managed to repair over 500 potholes in Mumbai.

Chandra Mishra never liked the sight of poor people and children begging on the streets. In hopes of making their lives better, he launched a mission called ‘Beggars Corporation’. Under this, he trains poor people in groups and helps them set up their businesses. So far, he has been able to give a better life to almost 14 families.

For the last 25 years, Bhoop Singh Yadav, an SI from Uttar Pradesh, has been running awareness campaigns to inform people about the traffic rules and regulations. He has organized over 1600 camps in schools and other institutions and more than 8 lakh people have attended these sessions.

Gaurav Anand quit from his 16 years of corporate service to become an environmentalist. He runs an organization called ‘Swachhta Pukare.’ Gaurav responsibly cleans rivers with his team of dedicated individuals. He makes sarees by extracting fibres from water hyacinth and blending them with cotton. 
 

Maleesha Kharwa lived with her family in the slum area of Dharavi, Mumbai. A Hollywood actor noticed her during a shoot and started a crowdfunding campaign for her. Maleesha gained popularity and received modelling offers. Today, she is a star and an internet celebrity. 

In the year 2018, Shahnaaz made history by becoming the youngest Sarpanch. She was only 24 at that time. During the campaigns, she was also busy with her fourth year MBBS exams at her college.

Sparsh Dwivedi started the campaign ‘Let’s Brand Bhopal’ in an attempt to transform Bhopal into a hub of business exchange and tourism. He has connected with thousands of people from diverse background who contribute their bit in internationalizing Bhopal.

Jharkhand’s Jitendra Mahto has been engaged with the task of maintaining cleanliness on Nandan mountain for five years. He is not employed by the government to carry out these duties, but he is a responsible member of his community. He makes an appeal to the workers and the tourists to keep the mountain areas clean.

Deb Kumar Malik began his social service campaign under the name ‘Jai Ram Seva Ashram’. He serves the elderly by providing them food and medicines. As of now, he is working in the service of 486 senior citizens.

Retired IAS officer Ajay Shankar Pandey organized the campaign ‘Sadbhawna Gram Yojana’ to establish and maintain harmony in the villages during and after the elections. The winning and losing candidates join hands together and vow to work with the sole aim of developing their villages.

Colonel Vembu Shankar retired from his 20 years of service to run his campaign ‘Project Sambandh’, where he works to establish a connection between the families of the martyrs and the government. Many families continue to live in poverty as they are not aware about the government schemes that are there specifically for them. Colonel Shankar wishes to spread an awareness regarding the same.

Sudhir Rajput is a software developer. He runs his business in Noida and is also the head of his village. After being elected as the Gram Pradhan, he has campaigned to make his village digitalized by making various services available to the villages. He has set up libraries and computer labs in the village and has introduced a helpline number for the convenience of the villagers.

Seven years ago, Kusum formed an organization to help find missing children. The numbers of missing children in India are astonishing, and the reality of what happens to them is spine chilling. She has been able to make her concerns heard in the parliament and continues with her campaign in hopes that more people will join her.
