Today, let’s explore alternative ways that can allow you to become a teacher in India without the need for a BEd degree.

ITEP is administered by the National Test Agency under NCET. It offers a direct path to teacher training after completing class 12. After successful completion of this integrated course, students will have the option of becoming a primary teacher in India without the need of pursuing a BEd degree.

Preeti Chandra was born in Kundan village, Sikar district, Rajasthan. She pursued an MA degree from Maharani College, Jaipur, and embarked on her professional journey as a journalist. Preeti also holds a BEd degree. She achieved 255^th rank in her first attempt at UPSC without attending any coaching classes.

Divya has successfully become an entrepreneur through the establishment of ‘Divya Lalitha Dolls.’ Divya holds MSc and BEd degrees. After completing her education, she worked as a teacher for a few years. Her husband lost his job due to the pandemic. At the age of 28, she commenced her venture of decorating dolls. She dressed a doll in a saree and received positive response.
