KP Maurya said, ‘The Narendra Modi-led government could soon opt for the legislative route in Parliament for the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya.’
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister KP Maurya on Sunday made a remark on the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He said that if necessary, we can pass laws from Parliament for Ram temple. He claimed that all the obstacles in the construction of the Ram Mandir will soon be removed.
People have faith that SC's judgement will come soon & obstacles in the constructions of Ram Mandir will be removed. Either the judgement will come soon or we'll find a solution through dialogue. Assadudin Owaisi hit back and said, “A responsible Deputy CM of a state govt makes such sort of atrocious & obnoxious statement when the Ayodhya matter is pending in SC, he has no right to talk in this language.”

Earlier on Saturday, the Deputy CM had said that if all the other options fail, “there is no way out except for bringing a Bill.”
Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in 2019. In Uttar Pradesh, politics revolves around Ram Mandir. Therefore, in such a scenario the Deputy Chief Minister's statement is important in many ways.
However, the BJP's other senior leaders have not reacted on this.
On the other hand, BJP's Ballia MLA Surendra Singh has said that the way the government has brought the bill for the SC-ST Act, it should bring a similar bill for the Ram temple.
Prasad further added, “People have faith that the Supreme Court’s judgement will come soon and the obstacles in the construction of Ram Mandir will be removed. Either the judgement will come soon or we’ll find a solution through dialogue. The third option of passing a law in the Parliament is also open.”
“At present, in Parliament, we do not have adequate strength. Every devotee of Lord Ram knows this. The court will soon give its judgement. Lekin Jis din hamare paas takat hoga, uss takat ka sadupyog hoga, durupyog nahi,” he said.
Speaking to the media, Keshav Prasad Maurya said that after both options fail, we will opt for the third option. We want the court to make a decision at the earliest. Ram temple is the subject of our faith, it is not a political stunt.
