Holi is the most colorful and lively festival. In many ways, Holi is a celebration of nature's abundance, signaling the end of winter and the arrival of spring in India.

The festival of Holi becomes more enjoyable and safe when natural ingredients like turmeric, neem, sandalwood, or basil flowers are used to make colors. When applied to the skin, the natural colors for Holi produced from these components exhibit their Ayurvedic therapeutic properties apart from their aesthetic appeal.

Each color has a symbolic significance that it symbolizes, and the whimsical pouring and tossing of pure natural colored powders and water made from these natural components makes the skin more vibrant and beautiful.

These are a few organic methods for creating Holi colors:

1. Red color
You can get a red color by boiling some carrots, beet root, red hibiscus, or red roses. You can also use red sandalwood, tomato or carrot juice, and pomegranate peel for the same purpose.

2. Blue Color
For Holi, Jacaranda flowers can be hand-ground into a gorgeous blue powder after being dried in the shade. As an alternative, you can smash the indigo tree's berries, add them to water, and boil them to get the right color strength. Certain Indigo species also produce a deep blue color when their leaves are boiled in water.

3. Green color
To achieve a lush green color, you can take the Gulmohar tree's leaves, dry them, and then finely powder them. The leaves of mint, coriander, and spinach can also be combined with water to make a fine paste.

4. Margenta Color
Cut or shred one beetroot, then soak it in one liter of water, then set it aside in a deep shade for the night. Add extra water to dilute in the morning as needed. As an alternative, soak a few saffron (kesar) threads in two teaspoons of water. After letting it sit for a few hours, grind it into a fine paste. To get the appropriate color, this paste can then be diluted with additional water.

5. Yellow color
In two liters of water, add one teaspoon turmeric and thoroughly stir. To intensify the color, bring it to a boil and then dilute it even more. Another way to create your own yellow color is to use the flowers of Marigold, Yellow Chrysanthemum, and Amaltas, which produce varying tones of yellow. After letting the fresh petals of these flowers dry in the shade, crush them into a fine powder.
