With a population as large as India's, its railways are bound to be crowded. Around 24 million people take the train every day for their daily commute. Many of them believe that the Indian Railways could do better, as numerous videos and pictures of several incidents go viral pretty often.

One such incident has surfaced on the internet where a woman can be seen expressing her complaints about the overcrowded coach and concerns for her safety to the Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE). The TTE's response has gone viral and has sparked a debate online.

A user on X (formerly Twitter), posted a video showcasing the whole incident. The caption says, "TC : "SORRY I am not a minister" - 22969 train filled with passengers like animals, no way even to urinate, passengers are left stranded at the stations." Helpless Girl: Sir please make me sit in the train, the coach is full, how will a girl go among the boys?"

In the video, the woman can be seen complaining about the crowd and the state of the coach. The TTE can be seen joining his hands and saying I cannot do anything in this matter. I am not the Railway Minister.

The video sparked a discussion on X and many people chipped in to express their thoughts over the whole situation. On user wrote, "Govt. must do something on this front also. Either increase train coaches/capacity or strictly prevent the unauthorized individuals to enter reserved coaches."

The comment section is divided, as some are defending the girl and slamming the TTE for not having an appropriate and professional response and taking no action in the situation. However, many also defended the TTE and placed blame on the railway system for the inconvenience.

One person commented, "The TTE can’t run additional trains but he can remove the people who have boarded the train without ticket. The government is at fault for not having enough trains but that doesn’t excuse him from discharging his duties & ensure that people with valid tickets are on the train," expressing the lack of responsibility shown by the TTE.

Another commented, "Ridiculous demands can’t be met. Planning my journey is my own problem, and if I don’t do so, I should be ready to face the problems. How can a TTE arrange for a seat to her in a crowded coach?? Kuchh bhi??”
