How many of these dialogues do you know by the big Bollywood birthday boy?
It's not just his chest that talks volumes on screen. Some of Bollywood's most iconic dialogues in recent times have been delivered by Sallu, who turns 53 today but looks not a day older than 35! We remind you of his most memorable deliveries that are a statement to make in jolly banter, filmy style!
Dabangg: "Hum tum mein itne ched karenge ki confuse ho jaoge ki saans kahan se le aur paadein kahan se." All khaki and guns, one shot of the mouth and all of India is in splits with Chulbul Pandey's rustic charm in this one. Perhaps this is the only part of the film that gives competition to Munni!
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam:"Agar tum mujhe yunhi dekhti rahi toh tumhe mujhse pyaar ho jayega." Sallu smiles at the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as she giggles and the two create screen magic that would make Sanjay Leela Bhansali a household name forever!
Bodyguard: "Mujhpe ek ehsaan karna, mujhpe koi ehsaan mat karna." Touche! Emo Salman is an impossibility until you hear this one, and it stays powerful unto this day!
Kick: "Mere baarein mein itna mat sochna. Dil mein aata hoon samajh mein nahi." Ah, we believe him at that one. Flawed and fierce and the baddest bad boy and yet we love him so much for this!
Maine Pyaar Kiya: "Dosti ka ek usool hai madam -- no sorry, no thank you." Bhagyashree smiles coyly while our hero boy charms her with that smile in his signature style, going down in Bollywood history!
Wanted: "Ek baar maine commitment kardi toh phir mein apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta." On every romeo's tongue ever since this went on screen, this is a line we think will stay alive even when we aren't!
Saajan: "Kaam hi mera pooja hai aur pooja hi mera kaam hai." He could talk girls but this dialogue would go on to be used in the literal sense long after it was delivered!
Ready: "Zindagi mein teen cheezein kabhi underestimate nahi karna – I, ME and MYSELF." Now that's an important one and we want you to keep it for the New Year - believe in yourself even if you're not Salman!
